Flights resume at Auckland Airport

Flights have resumed at Auckland Airport after some domestic flights were cancelled amid foggy conditions this morning.

An airport spokesperson said Air New Zealand had cancelled two incoming and five outgoing domestic flights earlier today because of low visibility.

Flights resumed shortly before 9am.

Fog has disrupted flights at the airport more than four times in the last month.

Thousands of air travellers were stranded across the country in the middle of the July school holidays when heavy fog caused widespread delays.

MetService is forecasting the misty conditions will clear by later this afternoon
